Mar. 30, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly higher on Monday morning.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened slightly higher at 2,377.96, up 0.15% or 3.52 points from last Friday.

The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.03% or 2.28 points lower at 8,991.87 points.
